Chelmsford Leisure Ltd

From 7.00pm to 10.00pm on Monday to Wednesday, Chelmsford Leisure leagues will operate continually all year round, however, league places are limited so please do not hesitate in registering your team. The Essex County Football Association affiliate all of Chelmsford Leisure’s leagues and the referees, who will officiate the games, are fully qualified.

Typically, each league consists of 16 teams, each team will play once a week in a match that will be 40 minutes long. The league game will be played on the same day each week (although be aware that times may vary) and a full list of fixtures for that season will be available on the website before it begins, although, please note fixtures are subject to change. Teams will play each other twice, in a home and away style, and the length of the season will depend on the number of teams in the league.

For each team, a maximum of 25 players can be registered for the team but only 8 of those can be named players for the matchday squad.
All players must wear shinpads and no studded or bladed football boots are permitted, although moulded rubber studs can be worn.

A strict zero tolerance policy is adopted by Chelmsford Leisure Limited. This means that any physical or verbal abuse towards referees, staff, other players and supporters will not be tolerated. You will be immediately disqualified from the rest of the league if you are found to be in breach of the Chelmsford Leisure Leagues terms and conditions your team may face permanent exclusion.

Both of our pitches meet the necessary requirements as laid down by the Essex FA and the playing rules of Chelmsford Leisure are in line with those of the FA for ‘small sided football’. Detailed league rules and league terms and conditions will be given to you at registrations.
